Help our Local Waterford Heroes Save Lives
As you can imagine, hands-on CPR in a moving ambulance is especially difficult. Lives are endangered and can be lost when speed changes, corners and bumps make it nearly impossible to maintain a consistent rhythm.
That is why the Waterford Lions Club are holding a special event to help acquire two LUCAS devices for local emergency response vehicles. The device provides the consistent rhythm to ensure an uninterrupted flow of blood and oxygen to the patient’s heart and brain.
This constant blood flow helps avoid neurological damage and frees up rescue personnel to focus on other tasks without a pause or gap in compressions.
You can read a real life successss story at: www.prohealthcare.org/emergency-services-lucas
The Lions hope you will join them and support their fundraising efforts for these lifesaving devised.

“We know that these devices are saving lives in the surrounding areas. But they are expensive – $15,000 each. Hopefully this fund-raising event will be a great way for us to make sure that our EMTs can give the best possible care when our citizens’ lives are at stake.” – Former Waterford EMT and Current Lions Club President Ray Jones.
