Another Vintage Bowling Alley Tour

Three Vintage Centers . . . 14 Lanes of Bowling Bliss on Wood

Vintage Bowling Alley Tour Date: Sunday, April 29, 2018

If you love Wisconsin bowling history, this tour is a fun and interactive way to explore and bowl in some of bowling’s historic landmarks.

8:00 a.m. Depart East Park American Center Park & Ride in Madison (5601 Eastpark Blvd.).

1st Stop: Tour & bowl The Fort Atkinson Club in Ft. Atkinson. Listed on the National and State Registers of Historic Places, this two wood lane center (with manual pinsetters and scoring!) was originally built in 1912 and lovingly restored in 2017.

2nd Stop: Tour & bowl Black Earth Lanes in Black Earth. The original four wood lanes were built in 1947 and four more lanes were added in the 1970’s. Manual scoring keeps the vintage experience real. Includes bowling and lunch.

Last Stop: Tour & bowl Scott’s Rio Lanes in Rio. Built in 1947, this alley has wood lanes with StarShield Masking units. Don’t let the autoscoring fool you – This is a quintessential Wisconsin bar with four lanes.

5:30 p.m. Return to East Park American Center Park & Ride.

$50 raffle – everyone receives one ticket.
Lucky seven – person with the most 7 counts (first ball) all day wins $50.

New Year.. New Things Happen…. if you plan on doing any extra purging, cleaning and/or organizing, We have a way to do and help others too.

Theresa is helping with a shoe drive and she wants you all to pitch in.
We would gladly help take all those unwanted shoes off your hands.

We will have barrels at River City Lanes that you can drop off your gently worn, used and new shoes.
If you are unable to make it out to the center, let us know and I will make arrangements to pick-up your shoes from you.
We will be collecting the entire month of January – THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for helping us out.

Please share with friends and family.

We hope 2018 brings you euphoric joy, pristine health and life changing happiness.

The “Winter Dance Party®” re-creates the final tour of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper, the three legendary artists who died in a plane crash on Feb. 3, 1959.

Mueller, the critically acclaimed former star of the U.S. touring version of the London/Broadway hit musical “Buddy – the Buddy Holly Story,” performs as Buddy Holly, with Ray Anthony as Ritchie Valens and Linwood Sasser as the Big Bopper. The artists will be joined on-stage by an energetic four-piece band that features the guitar, drums, stand-up bass and saxophone, the latter being played by Grammy Award-winning saxophone player Mike Acosta.

The “Winter Dance Party®” has performed for nationally televised audiences, toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada, and performed alongside John Mellencamp, Marshall Crenshaw and others at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
